Posted by on

On behalf of the Lucky Grooming family, we want to wish you a very Happy New Year!

We hope that 2018 is full of enjoyable moments, great memories, and of course, lots and lots of healthy beard growth.

Speaking of beards, we want to do something special this year to help you reach your beard goals.

So, we’ve put together a list of 2018 beard health resolutions to help you grow the beard of your dreams.

ind out what you need to do to keep your luscious facial hair locks healthy and growing this year and check out our beard health resolutions list now!

Resolution #1 - Eat a Beard-Friendly Diet

Many people associate healthy eating resolutions with losing weight. But, did you know that healthy eating is also vital for growing hair?

That’s right...not eating a balanced diet of proteins, fats, and vegetables can stunt your beard hair growth or cause your existing facial hair to become dull and fragile.

So, what do you need to eat this year to keep your beard full and voluptuous? A study from the Trichological Society (hair sciences) tells us this

  • Fish contains essential omega-3 fatty acids, protein, vitamin B12, and iron, which have been proven to prevent a dry scalp and dull hair color.
  • Dark green vegetables contain high amounts of vitamins A and C, which help with production of sebum and provide a natural hair conditioner. This combo promotes strong, healthy hair growth.
  • Legumes provide protein to promote hair growth and also contain iron, zinc, and biotin. Biotin functions to activate certain enzymes that aid in metabolism of carbon dioxide as well as protein, fats, and carbohydrates, which ensures your beard hair won’t become brittle and break.

All in all, making the resolution to add more dark green veggies, legumes, and fish into your diet is a great 2018 beard growth resolution.

Resolution #2 - Learn How to Properly Trim Your Beard

Kunio Kobayashi’s famous 800-year old bonsai tree isn’t still alive and thriving today because it’s been fed magical water from a spring of youth.

No.

It’s alive today because Kunio--and the many people who owned the bonsai before him--have put in the effort of properly caring for the tree, which includes routine trimming and maintenance.

The same philosophy of becoming an expert beard trimmer must also be applied to protect and preserve your majestic beard.

Trimming your beard about every two months allows you to…

  • Get rid of split ends and dead hair that prevent healthy hair growth.
  • Shape your beard properly.
  • Promote new hair growth (much like shrubs fill out once trimmed).

There are tons of videos and articles online that can teach you how to properly trim your beard. It’s also a great idea to ask your barber for some advice the next time you go in for a cut!

Resolution #3 -- Purchase Safe Beard Trimming Tools

There are so many beard trimming tools on the market, which makes it hard to know what is best to use on your facial hair.

Personally, we recommend that you avoid the electric trimmers. When not used properly, they have been known to damage hair follicles, stunting beard growth.

Instead, we suggest you opt for a traditional pair of beard trimming scissors.

Using scissors allows you to carefully and precisely trim your beard without worrying about damaging your hair.

Resolution #4 -- Use Safe, Natural Beard Grooming Products

The worst thing you could possibly do to your beard is smother it in chemically induced products.

Sadly, many popular beard products claim to be safe, but they also contain harmful chemicals like parabens, sulfates, and even formaldehyde.

And these chemicals are notorious for damaging beard hair, causing it to become damaged and fall out.

Not cool.

At Lucky Grooming, we don’t believe in being mediocre, which is why we never cut corners and add harmful ingredients into our products.

In fact, our Lucky Grooming Beard Oil only contains natural ingredients like coconut, patchouli, almond, and apricot oils. It’s also dye-free and fragrance-free.

We might be biased, but we believe there’s no better product on the market that is designed to keep your beard soft and healthy without exposing you to harmful chemicals.

And, of course, our Lucky Grooming Beard Balm follows suit and is only formulated with nourishing ingredients like jojoba oil, beeswax, and mango butter.

There’s no better way to keep your beard looking sharp and feeling soft all day long than by using this product.

On top of ensuring that our products stay away from unsexy chemicals, we also guarantee that our Beard Oil and Beard Balm are…

  • Proudly Made in the USA
  • Fragrance Free
  • BHT Free
  • Antibacterial
  • Anti-inflammatory
  • Helpful for Reducing Acne
  • Helpful in Reducing Stress
  • Guaranteed to Condition/Lock in Moisture
  • Helpful with Hair/Beard Growth

Resolution #5 -- Make the Commitment to Loving Your Beard

Short beards, long beards, quirky beards, distinguished beards…there’s truly no such thing as a bad beard.

So, whatever your beard style is, make the commitment to rocking it out this year!

We promise, with a little patience and care, you’ll be strolling down the street with the beard of your dreams before you know it.
